Eriksson makes Fulham pitch
The agent of Sven-Goran Eriksson admits the Swede is still interested in the Fulham job to raise to prospect of the former England coach being in charge for the start of the season (Bolton 11/10, draw 9/4, Fulham 9/4 – 90 minutes with bet365.com).
The Cottagers saw their pursuit of Ajax chief Martin Jol come to nothing on Thursday – despite agreeing personal terms – and so the search for Roy Hodgson’s replacement goes on for the west Londoners.
Eriksson, who is at a loose end after his short-term deal with Ivory Coast came to an end, has unfinished business in the Premier League, according to long-time agent Athole Still.
Still told the BBC: ?He did a first-class job with Manchester City – it was a personal non-compatability with Dr Shinawatra which caused him to be sacked.
“He should still be there.”
Along with Eriksson, Ottmar Hitzfeld, Mark Hughes, Dave Jones and Alan Curbishley are other names in the frame.
Bet365.com makes Fulham 1000/1 outsiders for the Premier League title.
